We, the St. George Police Department and City of St. George, believe this statement reflects the relationship we have with our community.  Officers are citizens from the community who:

  • receive specialized training
  • have taken oaths of service
  • help maintain our community's quality of life and safety

We see the citizens in our community as partners in that endeavor and will collaborate to that end.  Our goal is to maintain the trust and confidence of our community to the extent that everyone feels they can say

I am SGPD!

Notices

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), in conjunction with the City of St. George, is constructing a pedestrian tunnel that will run under Bluff Street between Main Street and the I-15 southbound ramps. The new tunnel will connect the east and west sides of the Hilton Drive Trail and provide pedestrians and cyclists a safe access across Bluff Street that avoids the busy Main Street signal. Construction will start in early June and continue through fall 2022.

Starting June 13, there will be a two-week full closure of Bluff Street between Main Street and the I-15 southbound ramps. The I-15 southbound off-ramp will remain open to eastbound traffic but closed to westbound traffic. Drivers should plan ahead and follow the signed detour routes. To stay up-to-date on the latest construction impacts, sign up for email updates at bluffpedtunnel@utah.gov.
