What is GRAMA?

In 1991, the Utah Legislature enacted the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) under Title 63G, Chapter 2 of the Utah Code, giving the public the right to access information.

Police Department Records Request

St. George Police Department has ten business days after receiving a written request to provide the record, deny the request, or notify the requestor that due to an extraordinary circumstance under UCA 63G-2-204, the record will not be available until a later date. To follow up on the status of your request, please contact the Police Records Department at 435-627-4301. 

  • Requests for reports can be delivered via email.
  • Depending on the status of the case, these records may not be available at the time of your request

Fees

  • Initial Contact Report / Traffic accident report - $15.45 / hour, first 15 minutes is free*
  • Black and white photocopies $.25 per page
  • Photos: $5.00 for each cd

*Search for records - Hourly charge equal to the hourly salary of the lowest paid employee capable of performing said search
